Heya Puwexil (with a lower-case P), Netara, Rivers, Aexoden, and Vanni too! Another year, another Limit Break, my favorite marathon of the year.

Did you know -- the "Legends of Localization" book doesn't tell the whole story behind Golbez, aka "Golbeza"? The naming nomenclature doesn't line up for a "venomous insect", and I feel that it's odd how the DS remake doubled down and referred to him as such.

In the first edition of the D&D Monster Manual, one of the most dangerous demons was a "Glabrezu", a giant sized Demon, clad in black, with a Horned Head. Furthermore, it preferred to practically *never* fight its' own battles, and instead would tempt victims with lures of power or wealth, and then trick them into fighting their battles for them. In the event they didn't have lackeys at the time a fight occurred, they would summon lesser demons, such as draconic-shaped creatures, to do their bidding, or simply attempt to cloud their vision or paralyze them before fleeing. Furthermore, they famously tried to avoid appearing in-person, and would communicate via telepathy....or the people they've tempted to their side.

Gee. I wonder what THAT sounds like. And it's not like the Final Fantasy series was adverse to taking characters from the D&D Monster Manual and implementing them into their games (cough Sahuagin cough).

LET'S GO LIMIT BREAK, LET'S GO FINAL FANTASY IV. (If there's any Donation incentives left, I'll leave them up to Vanni!)
