I've been playing all mainline Pokemon games since the Red/Blue days, but when I got Let's Go Eevee I caught a shiny Pidgey right off the bat and knew what I had to do: I IMMEDIATELY traded it away for an Alola Exeggutor. Let me tell you, having a 35-foot-tall palm tree with not one but FOUR goofy faces lumber around your trainer as essentially your starter really just... adds a certain level of pizzazz to Gen 1. Oh, you sent out a level 4 Rattata? That's fine, my wackypants palm tree abomination just fell over onto your Pokemon and smooshed it into purple paste. You're welcome.
