I've struggled with mental health issues my entire life, with those issues being exacerbated by the stigma which too often keeps us from vocalizing our struggles. Organizations such as NAMI and the visibility offered by events such as this and GDQ have afforded me the confidence to talk about my own issues and provided me countless hours of entertainment. Thank you so much to the runners and volunteers who make these events happen and I wish all of you out there watching the best. |
